Three Certified RGDs were re-appointed to the Board at the Meeting: Amanda Boltë, Faron Dawe, Nicola Hamilton and Magued Hanna. Additionally, the RGD is pleased to welcome newly-appointed Board Members Diana Varma RGD and Alexandra Vranjesevic RGD. 

Goals of our New Directors:

Amanda Boltë RGD: I pledge to continue to focus on the goal of ‘designers that celebrate and support designers’. Meeting this goal through community engagement that grows awareness of designers and the RGD, in the goal of expanding the Membership base. 

Faron Dawe RGD: Being from a region where the design industry is not as expansive as in larger metropolises, continuing on the RGD Board will allow me to contribute to the larger design community while representing designers from the east coast—to support, advise and inspire other RGD Members and potential Members alike to see the value of the RGD. 

Nicola Hamilton RGD: Over the last few years, our community has shown up for each other in all kinds of ways and I hope to harness that connection to propel us forward in our advocacy for designers of all kinds and their contributions to both commerce and society. 

Magued Hanna RGD: Digital has given rise to so many relatively new disciplines, including UX design and UX research, accessibility, UI engineering and design systems. I would be delighted to drive and support initiatives that connect, shape and bring structure to these areas, so the RGD establishes its position as a centre of excellence for UX in the same way it has for traditional graphic design.

Diana Varma RGD: My goal is to help the Education Committee continue the great work they’re doing. The team is working on numerous initiatives that promote connection, adding immense value to the organization and its Members.

Alexandra Vranjesevic RGD: My Goals are to help encourage young designers to take advantage of the amazing resources the RGD has to offer, while also acting a mentor to fellow designers who are looking for guidance.
