Modern Design Academy Award for Motion Design Winner: Christopher Brown

18/09/23
Winning Project: Nocturnal by Christopher Brown, Conestoga College, Kitchener, ON
Award sponsored by Modern Design Academy

The project's goal was to craft a convincing title sequence for a fictional TV show, making it seem real. This was achieved by constructing a storyline featuring a 1940s detective and developing design, imagery and motion to communicate the narrative to the audience. Stylistic choices, like a film noir and Saul Bass-inspired aesthetics, played a crucial role in conveying the show's tone and setting effectively.
