Migration, Culture, and Diversity
in the built environment

Dates and Venue: May 8-9, 2017,
Omni King Edward Hotel, Toronto
Registration opens: February 21, 2017.  Registration: $525 CAD

Migration and how to respond to its multiple challenges remains at the forefront of media, political, socio-economic, and human rights agendas, as contemporary society grapples with how to build and sustain cohesive, integrated, inclusive communities that serve the needs of all, equally.

Through a series of thought-provoking panel discussions and facilitated breakout sessions, attendees will actively contribute to expert discussions seeking innovative solutions to the challenges and opportunities presented by migration, culture, and diversity in the built environment, as well as their key roles within the future of North American society.

The conference, hosted jointly by Interior Designers of Canada (IDC) and the American Society of Designers (ASID), will provide ample time for extensive networking, and one-on-one time with experts and peers from the design field and beyond. Walking tours will be led by the architectural teams which worked on key buildings within Toronto’s ongoing Regent Park regeneration program.

The 2015 Impact Summit in Orlando, Florida resulted in an excellent White Paper, and the same will hold true for the 2017 Impact Summit, with attendees having been actively involved in forging solutions that will help shape the future of our communities.
