Why am I an RGD?I'm a professional so I belong to my professional organization, the RGD. RGD promotes professionalism among designers through education and the sharing of knowledge and experience.
Why am I a designer?Visual problem solving is a challenging occupation and I like challenges, particularly those that involve communicating complex information to a non-expert audience. Effective communications - visual or otherwise - can change people's attitudes and behaviour in a way that benefits them and the communities in which they live.
Why should you hire me?My role at Pier 8 Group is to develop strategies that achieve our clients' communications objectives. I work with a small team of talented graphic and web designers, researchers, writers and PR professionals to do that.
Where do I see myself in 5 years?In five years I see myself accepting only projects that interest me. I do that to some extent now, but I plan to be a little more discriminating in the future.
