- Ensure that equity and respect for all is reflected in RGD operations and programming, with a view to overcoming systemic racism and discrimination within the industry.
- Propose and assist in the development of new programs and the modification of existing programs, related to matters of systemic racism and discrimination.
- Promote the inclusiveness of RGD, educate Members on issues related to systemic racism, discrimination and subconscious bias and develop resources to promote a more equitable industry overall.

Jenn is Founding Partner of Design de Plume. She is a skilled project manager whose background working in a variety of fields allows her to combine the best creative and technical practices available to create beautiful, cost-effective campaigns for her clients. She is from the Shawanaga First Nation.
Kris Atterbury RGD, Toronto
Kris is the in-house designer at the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer, an organization funded by the federal government to accelerate action on cancer control for all Canadians. For the past decade, he has served as a valued member of their corporate communications team and has contributed to hundreds of projects for diverse ethnicities at a national level.
Reesa Del Duca RGD, Windsor
As Founder/Director of Design and User Experience of a scrappy design studio born in Toronto and now located in Windsor, Reesa solves business problems for growing, small and mid-sized enterprises. Guided by a methodical, empathetic, and user-focused approach to design, she has worked with clients from a wide range of industries on visual identities, strategies, websites, and more. She is especially passionate about contributing to projects that work to support and advance issues of justice and equity for women, people of colour, and marginalized groups.
Amanda DeVries RGD (she/her), London
Amanda has been an independent brand consultant and graphic designer for 15 years, recently specializing in branding and packaging for food & beverage companies. She spent 10 years in Ottawa, where governmental agencies kept her busy but not terribly inspired. Moving to Southwestern Ontario in 2009 presented her with the opportunity to work with small businesses and real people. She's also been a prop stylist on two cookbooks, thereby checking off items on her bucket list. She's looking forward to lending her voice and perspective to the D&I Committee in the hopes that a younger audience can find a version of themselves within the broader RGD community.
Alan Joson Provisional RGD (he/him), Toronto
While completing his portfolio for entry into the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD), Alan Joson discovered his passion and enthusiasm for graphic design and photography. He joined the corporate world for several years while simultaneously engaging in creative pursuits, including managing his own photography business. In 2010, Alan completed his studies in Advertising & Graphic Design at Humber College. Having further refined his design skills through his work at George Brown College and at the Ontario College of Trades, Alan now balances his role as the in-house graphic designer for the Michener Institute of Education at UHN with an active career as a freelance designer.
Derrick Oduro Provisional RGD, Brampton
Derrick is a multidisciplinary Graphic Designer based in Toronto, Canada. He received a BDes degree in Graphic Design from his undergraduate at OCAD University in 2018, where he studied and developed his passion for art and design. Derrick's work mainly focuses on branding, editorial design, UX design, digital marketing, social media, and art direction. Utilizing his extensive work experience and expertise freelancing with his own clients, he recently began his own initiative as the Founder of D0Media — a creative multimedia hub agency offering various services to help bring small businesses’ vision to life. More importantly, the idea is to provide a collective space and work hub for like-minded and open-minded creatives, especially marginalized voices (BIPoC) to be heard, seen, and supported. Thus, Derrick became a Provisional RGD Member to further expand his knowledge and skills, and to be more involved within the design community by connecting with fellow professionals.
Kelly Small RGD (they/them), Toronto
Kelly Small is an award-winning creative director, designer, and author with deep roots in communication design, marketing, and advertising, and a special focus on ethical and inclusive practice. A proven creative leader, strategist, and affiliated design researcher with Emily Carr University, Kelly holds an interdisciplinary master’s degree where their research focused on design ethics, social impact design, and design for social innovation and sustainability. Kelly is currently the Executive Creative Director at Grassriots Inc. and has experience leading major brands across most sectors. A commercial industry expat, Kelly is now committed to applying their 15+ years of experience to exclusively support clients whose missions are purpose-led. Kelly’s book, The Conscious Creative: Practical Ethics for Purposeful Work, published by House of Anansi Press, is a collection of over 100 actions for ethical creative practice and is now available.
Erica Shaw, Toronto
Erica is an award-winning producer and production manager with 20+ years of experience in the film, television, media and higher education industries. As founder of EpEc – Everyday People, Everyday Creativity, Erica designs and facilitates unique workshops for a roster of corporate and personal clients using Creative Problem Solving (CPS) and FourSight® frameworks. She is also serves as Secretary on the Reelworld Screen Institute Board where its mandate supports the promotion and professional development of Canadian racially diverse talent, to deepen their artistic practice, and to strengthen the creative community as well as international networks. As Manager of the Creative Studio at Sheridan College, Erica leads a team of print/graphic designers and editorial staff and teaches part-time in the Faculty of Applied Humanities and Social Sciences and the Pilon School of Business.
Mel Sutjiadi RGD (they/them), Calgary & Vancouver
Mel is a QPOC graphic designer, illustrator, web developer and educator who believes in using their creative power for social good. They founded Artovermatter in 2007 and have helped clients with a variety of projects including brand development, campaign and event-based design, custom illustrations, UX and UI design, print and digital designs, as well as custom WordPress sites. They love working on projects that have a social impact and is passionate about social justice, diversity and inclusion. They are currently a co-organizer of CreativeMornings Calgary and TechSoup Canada’s NetSquared Calgary.
Ashley Tomlinson Provisional RGD (she/her), Toronto
Ashley is a multidisciplinary graphic designer based in Toronto, Canada. She received an Advanced Diploma in Graphic Design from Humber College in 2019. Recently, she was the junior designer at Studio Wyse where she worked on editorial projects for the University of Toronto, Ryerson University, and the Creative Destruction Lab. She’s also a cofounder of Cove Collective, a community that centres the voices of BIPOC womxn through events, workshops and podcasts. Ashley is always up for a conversation; her favourite topics include intersectional feminism, books and dogs.
E. Fe Wyma RGD, Windsor
Fe is the founder, principal designer and restless spirit of Kapwa Communications. For more than 20 years, she has worked with a range of public and corporate clients across Canada. Her experiences in Canada’s most northern and southern communities, along with her graduate studies in intercultural and international communication fuel her desire to stay curious and keep learning. Fe’s professional practice is founded on the belief that communication is about more than strategy, design, and branding: it’s about the power of ideas and the ability to affect positive change in our community through responsible, creative practices.
